Deus Otiosus (2020)
Mat Braddy (Director)
“Finding a shared understanding of the story being told can be tricky, but working with Ross made the process joyful. His musical sketches based on our visual treatments really helped articulate the feeling and tone of the film to cast and crew. And shaping the score through post, finding nuances and ways to enhance the emotional storytelling was a highly satisfying experience. Ross was instrumental to the success of our project."
— Mat Braddy

Deus Otiosus was a great project to be involved in. It was great to work with Mat, who considered the score from the start of the project: we first began working together prior to the production shoot, and I created a range of initial music sketches which were played on set to help set the atmosphere for the actors and crew.
Amongst a slew of other festival awards Deus Otiosus was nominated for or won, I was honoured that my score was nominated for the ‘Best Score/Music’ category in the Dublin International Short Film and Music Festival.
