My work on The Rounds began in pre-production, working closely with Asa, Producer Isabelle Kirk, and the other department heads to plan out our overall approach to production. Following the shoot, I continued my role in developing the film’s soundtrack as the Sound Designer. This continuity allowed for a seamless creative process from which the film’s soundtrack emerged, thereby demonstrating the creative benefits of an approach to sound design that encompasses all stages of filmmaking.
As Production Sound Mixer, I worked with two excellent Assistant Sound Recordists, Charlie Sommerville & Fred Delaney.
In post-production, I was responsible for editing, cleaning and developing the sound of The Rounds, from dialogue to ambiences, delivering an evocative soundtrack that helped the film bridge comedy and drama. I enjoyed working alongside Composer Richard Johnsen, Editor Keira Sultan, & Re-Recording Mixer Alessio Festuccia.
Official Selection: Bolton International Film Festival 2025.
