Synopsis

We Carve Words in the Earth explorres the feminist struggle in occupied Palestine from the British mandate era through to the present day.

I worked closely with Mahasen from development, through pre-production, production, and post-production, collaboratively crafting a poetic soundtrack which engages audiences' embodied perceptions to offer experiences of stories from the feminist movement in Palestine across the last century. This included recording interviews and dialogue during unplanned tracking shots, as well as extensive field recordings across occupied Palestine.

My role as Sound Designer encompassed the creation of the entirety of the film's soundtrack, from Production Sound Mixing to Dialogue Editing and Re-Recording Mixing.

This film is currently seeking a distribution deal.
